This animation
is a demonstration of a game that you can play with your family,
friends, and/or co-workers. It is an easy way to explain the
affect that MS has on the brain's ability to send messages to
the body and the body's ability to accurately receive messages
from the brain.
WithOUT
MS: This
animation demonstrates how the brain sends a message through
the nerves to the body of somebody that does not
have multiple sclerosis.
WITH
MS: When
somebody has multiple sclerosis though, the message that the
brain is trying to send gets confused or blocked somewhere along
the nerve path so the body either gets a confused message or
no message at all. Therefore, the body either does something
the brain didn't ask it to do or it doesn't do anything. Either
way, the result is that the body cannot complete the brain's
request.
